Cheesy Green Beans
I used to think that I hated green beans, turns out I just hate over boiled, mushy ones. These green beans are so easy to make and are a perfect option to have at any meal for picky eaters. Green beans are often a gateway veggie for people who "don't like healthy food". They are so quick to throw together and the seasoning and cheese is light but just enough to make them feel a little special. For littles I call them green fries, which is an absolute hit and has convinced many tiny humans to crunch away on them! I also like to make these for big holiday gatherings because the heaviness from a traditional green bean casserole is not for me. If you are looking for something to make quick and add to your plate on a weekday evening these are for you!
Ingredients:
400g of French green beans
1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
1/4 tsp sea salt
1/2tsp garlic powder
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions:
1. Preheat your oven to 375F, and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. Place your green beans onto the lined baking sheet, drizzle with the olive oil, sprinkle on sea salt and garlic powder.
3. Place the baking sheet in the oven and bake for 13mins. Take out, sprinkle the parmesan cheese over the top, and put back in the oven for 2 mins.
4. Remove from the oven, serve and enjoy!
