Mocktails for Two

I love a fun drink every now and then, and as someone who doesn't drink alcohol, it can be hard to find a drink to sip on in a social setting that isn't packed with sugar and other junk ingredients. Don't get me wrong either, I love water, I am a very hydrated queen but sometimes just plain water isn't what I am looking for. Both the recipes are packed with flavour, fizz and satisfy the need for having a fun drink without the added syrups, and sugars you normally see. I like to muddle the fruit in a separate bowl instead of in the glass like traditionally done, because I find when its added to the top of the ice, the flavour is more evenly distributed throughout the drink. Next time you are looking to sip on something give one of these a try!

Ingredients:
Blackberry Peach Basil: Makes 2 Drinks
3 tbsp peaches
1 tbsp blackberries
2 tsp fresh basil
Juice of 1 lime
1 cup sparkling water
Ice

Berry Mint: Makes 2 drinks
2 tbsp raspberries
2 tbsp strawberries
2 tsp fresh mint
juice of 1 lime
1 cup cup sparkling water
Ice

Instructions: For 2 drinks
1. Take two glasses and fill them 3/4 of the way up with ice.
2. Squeeze in 1/2 the juiced lime into each cup.
3. Top the ice with the herb you are using in your recipe (either basil or mint).
4. In a separate bowl, take the fruit option for your drink (either peach/blackberry or raspberry/strawberry) and using a muddler, muddle the fruit until it becomes mushy.
5. Pour half the muddled mixture onto of the ice into each glass.
6. Pour 1/2 cup of the sparkling water over the ice.
7. Drink and enjoy!
